Intermittent fasting: timing and food

An eating window structures meals but does not replace suitable food choices.

Assess usefulness

A fixed rhythm can help some adults organise eating. Suitability depends on routine, tolerance and health; a shorter eating window is not automatically better. Positive personal experience is not proof of effectiveness for others.

Limits

Diabetes and glucose-lowering medication can create specific risks. Minors, pregnancy, breastfeeding and eating disorders do not belong in a general fasting programme. This page explains the approach without providing a fasting regimen or medication adjustment.
